It's Been A While!
It's been a while since I've done an update! So here's what's been happening: In November I was happy to be a part of the Operation Encore CD release party in Phoneix. It was awesome and I finally got a chance to meet the other singer-songwriters and musicians on the compilation CD. In February a few of us were honored to have the opportunity to go to Washington DC to perform for the American Legion Auxilary Conference. There we met Ben Patton(Grandson of WWII’s General George S. Patton Jr) who heads up a really cool project for veterans and their families. He has organized professional filmmakers to do workshops where they teach military members how to make films. I was able to check out a workshop last week and share my music video(in progress) for "Another Trip Around the Sun". Hopefully that will be ready to share with you soon!
You should check out www.iwastherefilms.org It was really neat to hear people who have been through the workshop talk about how making a film helped them process some of the diffuclties and trauma of military life.
